Common questions

Before you write in

My roster hasn't updated. What do I check first?
Pull to refresh on Today — that forces a sync rather than waiting for the background one. If the eCrew connection has expired you'll see a banner asking you to sign in again; reconnecting takes about twenty seconds and doesn't touch your existing duties. On the free plan a refresh plays an ad first; Premium refreshes immediately with priority sync.
Which airlines does it work with?
RosterRadar isn't tied to one carrier. Etihad, Emirates, flydubai, Qatar, Saudia, flynas, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, Oman Air, Air Arabia, Royal Jordanian, EgyptAir, Turkish, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Swiss, Singapore Airlines and more are in the list, and "Other" lets you enter your own. If your roster source isn't supported yet, write in and tell us which crew system you use.
Does RosterRadar ever change anything in eCrew?
No. The connection is read-only. RosterRadar fetches your published roster and nothing else — it never bids, swaps, accepts, drops or writes anything back on your behalf. You remain responsible for complying with your airline's own IT and data policies when you connect your crew account.
How many people can see my roster?
Only the people you invite, and only after they accept. Free allows 5, Premium up to 30 — shown in the app as 5/30 and 30/30. Every connection is mutual and revocable: remove someone and you disappear from their list too.
Will the reminders actually wake me up?
They're scheduled against the reporting station's local time, not your phone's home zone, so a 04:10 report in Bangkok fires at the right moment wherever you set it. You choose the lead time and can override it per duty. A crew friend can also send you a ding-dong wake-up nudge if you're the type who sleeps through three alarms.
Can I get my duties into my phone calendar?
Yes, on both plans. Export to your device calendar and duties appear alongside everything else in your life, with report and off-blocks times in the correct local zone.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@r-r.ae and we'll remove your account and associated data. Disconnecting eCrew from within the app deletes the stored credential immediately, on its own.

Privacy

Your roster is your business. So are your crew credentials.

RosterRadar holds the keys to your crew account, so the storage of those credentials was designed before anything else in the app.

Credentials are sealed, not stored

Your eCrew sign-in is sealed with libsodium authenticated encryption. Each credential gets its own random data key, and that key is itself encrypted under a separate master key.

Every request is verified

Sync requests are checked against a strict signing-algorithm allowlist before any signature is read, and a request that can't be verified is refused rather than allowed through.

Locked on your device

The whole app sits behind Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode, with a short unlock window so a borrowed phone in a crew room doesn't become an open roster.

How a sync actually works

You connect once

You enter your crew sign-in on your device. It's sealed before it's sent anywhere.

STEP 02

The seal is wrapped

A one-off data key encrypts the credential; a separate master key encrypts that data key.

STEP 03

The roster is fetched

The sync service unseals it only in memory, reads your published roster, and re-seals.

STEP 04

Only duties land

What reaches your phone is your roster — duties, times, crew and stations. Nothing else.

Every connection is revocable, every follower is visible, and disconnecting eCrew deletes the sealed credential straight away.
